Autumn Games Announces Executive Vice President Appointment
Jeffrey Ulin to lead distribution and business affairs for global video game publisher Autumn Games
New York, NY (September, 2010) – Autumn Games today announced the appointment of Jeffrey Ulin as Executive Vice President. The announcement was made by Alex Collmer and Jason Donnell, co-founders of Autumn Games, and will be effective immediately.
As Executive Vice President, Ulin will lead game distribution and business affairs for Autumn Games, and be involved in all facets of the company’s growth. Ulin formerly served as Lucasfilm’s senior distribution executive, leading the company’s worldwide distribution partnerships (including with 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, and global TV broadcasters), managing the licensing of Lucasfilm intellectual property across multiple platforms. Wearing several hats, Ulin also oversaw digital innovations managing Lucas Online and served as senior director of business affairs, managing legal matters and advising George Lucas and company divisions on the structure and negotiation of key deals.
“Jeff brings over 20 years of expertise in the media and entertainment industries,” said Alex Collmer, CEO and Co-Founder of Autumn Games. “His tremendous experience in media distribution with some of the most iconic properties in history will be a great asset to Autumn Games as we continue to roll out a new model for video game publishing.”
“Autumn Games represents the ongoing shift occurring in the entertainment industry—the evolution to interactive entertainment,” Ulin remarked. “I’m very excited to be a part of the flexibility and creativity Autumn Games offers the gaming industry and the innovative properties they are developing.”
Prior to his role with Lucasfilms, Ulin co-founded and served as CEO of Wild Brain, an animation, digital production, and film studio. At Wild Brain, Ulin raised significant private venture capital, negotiated various international distribution deals, and created the Disney hit series Higglytown Heroes.
“Jeff’s vision and leadership experience in both major media corporations and start-ups, as well as heading large-scale global distribution efforts, is a great addition to our executive team,” said Jason Donnell, President and COO of Autumn Games. “Jeff is joining us at an exciting time of the company’s growth as we prepare to announce several upcoming partnerships and game franchises.”
Ulin is the author of The Business of Media Distribution —Monetizing Film, TV and Video Content in an Online World, which has been endorsed by Variety. He also served as of counsel for the prestigious Silicon Valley law firm, Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati, was General Counsel and SVP of Paramount/Universal’s overseas video and home entertainment joint venture CIC, and is a Lecturer at Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
